BIOGRAPHY

I started off my law enforcement career in 2005 as a Community Service Work Crew Supervisor for the Pierce County Juvenile Court Diversion Program. I was then hired on by the Fircrest Police Department as a Community Service Officer where I enjoyed helping facilitate National Night Out and fund raising events for Special Olympics. I continued with the Juvenile Court while at Fircrest assisting the city of Lakewood and began developing wonderful partnerships with Lakewood’s Promise. The youth and I were honored for assisting in the development of a mobile food network that assisted in feeding Lakewood’s landlocked regions. I left Fircrest taking a full time position at the Juvenile Court as a Community Detention Monitor. I left law enforcement in 2008 to be a professor for Kaplan College in the Criminal Justice Program. I was adopted by the Pacific Police Department as one of the family in 2009 and have called it home since. I currently am the PIO and Records Specialist for my agency and enjoy my job greatly.

I obtained my Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Tacoma Community College in the Administration of Law and Justice. I continued my education at the University of Washington, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Native American Studies. I continued on with a Masters in Human Services from Capella University with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Lastly I attended one year of Law School at Concord University. I have obtained my CPRO Certification and the next stop in my educational journey is nursing school.

In my free time I enjoy being with my family.

I have been a member of LEIRA since 2010.
