There are two types of membership in L.E.I.R.A.; active and associate. Each criminal justice agency
must have one active member and all others will be associate members. The active member is the
voting member for that agency and can be elected to the Executive Board. All members are able
serve on committees.
L.E.I.R.A. provides many opportunities to members for networking and the sharing of knowledge or
ideas. There are two training conference each year, one on the eastside and one on the westside
of the mountains. There are several types of classes offered, including property and evidence,
disclosure, supervisory classes. The conferences are a terrific opportunity for the membership to
ask questions and share experiences with each other.
The L.E.I.R.A. website provides a membership directory, which is updated every quarter. It lists
each agency and their member contact information, which makes it easy to contact other
L.E.I.R.A. members.
