Our Mission
The mission of the Committee shall be to enhance the efforts of LEIRA in
addressing the specialized needs of law enforcement property and evidence
personnel through education, training and networking. The Committee
will strive to respond progressively to the dynamically changing property/
evidence handling needs, while upholding the values and mission
of the LEIRA organization.
Did You Know?
· WAC §16.664.030 mandates the scale you use to have a
“Certificate of Conformance”.
· RCW §66.32.040 allows disposal of any alcohol confiscated in
connection with a crime under Title 66.
· Mutilated currency requires special handling and must be returned
to the
US Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
· On July 26th 2009, the Statute of Limitations will change for some
theft
crimes involving money laundering, identity theft and theft by
deception and
also some sex offense crimes involving minors.
